Another health related problem to Irritable Bowel Syndrome is a yeast overgrowth called Candida. Candida is often missed in diagnosis and has many symptoms including Irritable Bowel Syndrome. As much as 80% of the population has Candida and does not know it. One of the main symptoms appears to be flu like during the "die off" stage. There is some very good information about Candida. There are many natural remedies that can help Irritable Bowel Syndrome as well as Candida. Getting the correct information is the key and researching on the internet must be thorough if it is to be correct. There is a lot of junk out there.

IBS is a potentially debilitating condition not truly understood. it is important though when you think you may have IBS to rule out IBD. I read that here is new test to distigusih between IBS & IBD. it looks for a marker in stools called calprotectin - I don't know if it is available in a home test format but it is worth asking your doctor.

Thanks for those interesting links, I first developed symptoms after getting giardia in cambodia, and then not knowing what I had so taking a lot of anti worming pills and antibiotics to cure it. This led to terrible spasms. I'm a lot better now, and rarely have spasms, but I do often feel sick if I am not careful about what I eat. I find that drinking probiotic yoghurt really helps which correlates with the article you linked to, and the mention of an overgrowth of bacteria (presumably the Unfriendly kind!) I also know to try and avoid too much fried and fatty foods, overeating and alcohol. However I do feel I was treated very dismissively by my doctors, and I have been told that IBS is just a term you get told when they don't really know what is wrong with you. Would you agree?

I believe that Irritable Bowel Syndrome is do to the fact that we simply do not fuel our bodies correct. If we consume the proper foods and put some activity in our lives, I think our bodies would take better care of us.

My spouse and I stumbled over here by a different web page and thought I might as well check things out. I like what I see so now i am following you. Look forward to exploring your web page yet again.
