WHRI Monthly Research Forums
The monthly forums were developed to address a significant barrier to advancing women's health research: lack of awareness among health professionals and researchers that sex and gender matter in health and disease. The Women's Health Science Program (WHSP) offers a series of science education summer academies to high school females in Chicago. WHSP targets young women who are considering careers in science and medicine and prepares them with valuable knowledge and skills to successfully become the next generation of women science leaders. Mentoring Program
The Women's Health Science Mentoring Program was developed to provide a dyadic mentoring program for female high school girls and science graduate and medical students at Northwestern University. This program revolves around a self-selected research project and fosters one-on-one mentoring relationships for women pursuing science. Read more
