About

The Oncofertility Science Academy (OSA) was initiated in 2007. Teresa Woodruff, Ph.D., Thomas J. Watkins Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, leads this. OSA offers a sequence of challenging, thematic workshops that allow high school students to explore the fields of reproductive science, cancer biology, and oncofertility. Working laboratories and clinics at Northwestern University open their doors and deploy their scientists, clinicians, and other professionals to deliver authentic learning experiences.  Students gain an understanding of the whole field of oncofertiliy, from the lab bench to the patient bedside.  The first half of the program consists of basic science research workshops, and the second half consists of clinical application workshops that are related to the field of oncofertility.
